Finnish National Opera & Ballet
The Finnish National Opera is an opera and ballet company and a national institution. It is the only professional opera company in Finland, the only professional ballet company, the only professional choir and the largest orchestra.
Opera performances have been given in Finland since the late 19th century. The Domestic Opera, later the Finnish Opera, was founded in 1911.
Today there are some 300 performances each year.

Finnish National Theatre
The Finnish National Theatre, since 1872, is the oldest Finnish language professional theatre in the country.

Helsinki City Theatere
Helsinki City Theatre, founded in 1964, is the biggest professional repertoire theatre in Finland. The theatre is maintained by Helsinki Theatre Foundation and its board members are appointed by the Helsinki City Board.

Helsinki Music Center
At the Music Centre of Helsinki you can hear and see a variety of concerts and performances, take a look around in the lobby or the exhibition spaces or stop off at the Sibelius Academy Library to browse music books, magazines and databases or listen to a wide range of recordings.
The Music Centre is the home for the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra and the Finnish Radio Symphony Orchestra and the one and only music university in Finland, the Sibelius Academy.
